WHAT IS THE GROUNDWORK?

The Groundwork is a conscious leadership framework designed to help you break that cycle.

Each week we will meet as a community for 60-90 minute live, interactive sessions where you will learn the fundamental competencies that define effective leadership. These videos will be archived so you can watch them even if you miss the live session, or simply want to revisit the discussion.

In between sessions, you will have exclusive access to The Groundwork Slack community and weekly member events—including discussion groups, peer learning environments, and access to Ginny’s team for questions and discussion.

Week 1: Introduction to Conscious Leadership

Transform your relationship to stress and uncertainty in the workplace. Learn to identify burnout in yourself and others to increase morale, productivity, and well-being.

Week 3: Building Inclusive Systems and Organizations

Cultivate trust and build strong relationships with your team members by learning to more precisely understand what’s happening around you, and by learning to provide impactful feedback.

Week 4: Conflict Management and the Dreaded Exit

Redefine your relationship and understanding of conflict by removing ego from the equation, and learn how to deal with escalating tension before it becomes toxic.

Week 5: Office Politics and Managing Up

Discover the true power of Organizational Leadership. Learn to generate influence and buy-in even in the presence of unhelpful office politics, and how to generate allies above you in the ranks.

Week 6: Bringing it All Together

Reflect on your leadership journey - where you came from, where you are now, and how you would like to map your path forward. Leadership isn’t a checklist, it’s a way of showing up every day.

Ginny Clarke is a conscious leadership expert, former executive recruiter and entrepreneur with over 35 years of corporate experience working with companies like Google, Spencer Stuart, JLL, and other Fortune 500 companies. Ginny believes that our current workplaces are bereft of competent leadership, and she’s working to teach and inspire the next generation of leaders.

  • The first live session for The Groundwork is on March 5th at 2pm EST, and continues with weekly live sessions on Wednesdays at 2pm EST for 6 weeks. No worries if you miss a session, we will provide the recordings, live chats, and any related materials to everyone who joins the community.

  • The Groundwork is for people who want to make a positive change in their workplace by become effective, conscious leaders. You need not have an official leadership title, though many of our community members do.

  • All community members will be granted access to the community portal, which you will receive access to once you sign up, and our Slack community, which we will open on March 5th, after our first live session.

    • Week 1: Introduction to Conscious Leadership, March 5th, 2pm EST

    • Week 2: Navigating Ambiguity, March 12th, 2pm EST

    • Week 3: Building Inclusive Systems and Organizations, March 19th, 2pm EST

  • The live sessions will run 60-90 minutes every week. Beyond that, you get to decide how much time you spend on exercises, interacting with your peers, and deeper learning. We estimate an additional hour per week minimum, but encourage as much time dedication as you want.
